Semmangudi Mama

Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer (1908-2003), fondly called as "Mama", is considered to be the "Bhishma Pitamaha", or "Great Grandfather" of Modern Carnatic Music. He is one of the greatest singers of the 20th century and had many famous disciples who followed his "Bani" (style of singing), including the great MS Subbulakshmi.

Can any one mention one of his achievements that still stands unbroken to this day in 2023?

Here are few links of him singing the ragam "Shankarabharanam", for which he was extremely famous.
